Delaware's Muslim community strongly condemn the recent attacks on the Jewish centers and stand firm with the Jewish community against hate.

Asalaam Alaykum

Unfortunately, today once again brings news that demonstrates why we are at a critical junction in our nation's history.

Attacks and attempted attacks on houses of worship have been steadily rising, and this is not acceptable. Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism continue to increase, and that is not acceptable. All Muslims must all stand together to end this and demand change.

The Islamic Society of Delaware strongly condemns the attempted hate crime against the Jewish Centers in Delaware. "An attack on anyone's house of worship is an attack on us all, and we will always stand together with our brothers and sisters in faith," said Shiekh Hadi, Imam of the Islamic Society of Delaware.

Imam Arqum Rashid of the Islamic Society of Central Delaware (Dover Mosque) echoed that sentiment and noted, "As Muslims, we know how attacks against our centers feel. We know too well how it feels to be the target of hatred and prejudice.
We condemn these attacks against the Jewish community centers in Delaware, and without a doubt, Muslims in Delaware will continue to stand with the Jewish community against bigotry and hate."
